Privacy policy

Plain-language privacy information for SM Network users.

Overview

SM Network provides VPN access, license activation, subscription management, diagnostics, and customer support. This policy explains the information used to provide those features.

Information we collect

We may collect license key or subscription status, VPN user identifier, selected server, selected tunneling profile, support reference number, app version, platform, OS version, device model, approximate region inferred from network metadata, and service status such as activation, expiration, connection, reconnection, and failure events.

Device integrity and activation

SM Network may use app and device integrity checks to help confirm that requests come from the official app on a supported device. We may store a device identifier and activation status so the app can recognize an activated device after reinstalling and prevent license sharing across unsupported devices.

VPN service data

We use VPN user identifiers and server configuration data to authorize access to VPN servers. We may record server-side traffic totals, connection diagnostics, selected server, and error status needed to operate the service, monitor reliability, investigate connection issues, and prevent abuse.

What we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect or store the websites you visit, DNS query contents, message contents, files, photos, contacts, or precise GPS location. SM Network does not require GPS location permission for region-based service decisions.

Analytics, performance, and crashes

We collect diagnostics to understand app usage, investigate crashes, measure startup time, service requests, configuration loading, device integrity checks, VPN connection performance, speed test results, and other reliability signals. Analytics may include user actions, screen views, activation results, VPN process status, app lifecycle events, revenue-related events, and user properties tied to the device identifier or support reference.

Payments and subscriptions

Purchases may be processed by the app store used on your device. We may store product IDs, purchase tokens or transaction references, subscription state, expiration dates, renewal or grace-period status, restore attempts, and related subscription metadata. We may also record manual license activation and trial activation events for revenue and subscription reporting.

Service configuration and announcements

We may retrieve service settings to control server lists, default profiles, app announcements, version update messages, trial availability, and other service behavior. Some settings may be retrieved only after device integrity and activation checks where required.

Support

When you contact support, please share your support reference number. It helps us find related diagnostics without exposing your raw device ID. You can reset the support reference in the app, but resetting it may make older support conversations harder to match.

Data sharing

We may share limited data with trusted service providers that help us operate the app, process purchases, monitor reliability, provide hosting, and run the VPN service. These providers process data only as needed for those purposes.

Retention

We keep service, activation, diagnostic, and subscription records for as long as needed to provide the VPN service, support users, prevent abuse, satisfy platform requirements, and maintain reliable operations. Expired or used license records may be moved to separate records for easier management.

Your choices

You may stop using the VPN at any time, uninstall the app, reset your support reference, or contact us to ask privacy questions. Some service data is required to activate the app and keep VPN access secure.
